Easy Pizza Dough
A quick an easy recipe for a pizza dough without the need to wait overnight. This recipe is for one pizza of approx 28 cm diameter.
Ingredients
- Pizza flour (260 g)
- Yeast (12 g fresh / 4 g dry)
- Look-warm water (170 mL)
- Olive oil (10 g)
- Salt (4 g)
- Sugar (4 g)
Steps
- Disolve the sugar and yeast in the water. Let it rest
5~10 minutes to activate it1. - In a clear bowl set the flour and make a whole in the center. Add in it the salt and oil and integrate everything.
- Integrate the water with the mix until it becomes a dough. Knead everything for
10 minutes, until it becomes smooth and elastic. - Let it sit for
1~2 hours until it doubles the size. - Set the dough on a floured surface, then make a ball generating tension on the surface. Let it rest for another
40~60 minutes. - Spread the dough into a pizza shape by first stretching it on the sides, then with the tip of the fingers pressing from the center to the sided.
- Prepare the pizza as desired, then bake at 250 °C for
30~50 minutes.
Notes
- No matter the yeast, it should be activated for better results. An active yeast will generate small bubbles on the surface of the water.
