Lentejas
This plate is named after its main ingredient: the lentils.
Ingredients
- Yellow lentils (250 g)
- Bell pepper
- Onion
- Carrot
- Potato
- Olive oil
- Garlic cloves (2 ~ 4)
- Tomato sauce
- Chorizo
- Smoked paprika powder
- Bay leaves
- Cayene pepper (2), optional
Tip
Use a pressure cook as the pot where it will be cooked.
Steps
- Chop in big pieces (1 cm side) the potato, the carrot and the pepper. Chop the onion in 8 pieces.
- Put all the previous ingredients and the galic cloves at medium power over the stove with some olive oil. Cook for 5 minutes.
- Add the lentils and all the other ingredients, as well as some salt and pepper. Stab the chorizo and add it too. Put water until everything is covered.
- Cook for
30~45 minutes in pressure cook.
