Lentejas

This plate is named after its main ingredient: the lentils.


Ingredients

  • Yellow lentils (250 g)
  • Bell pepper
  • Onion
  • Carrot
  • Potato
  • Olive oil
  • Garlic cloves (2 ~ 4)
  • Tomato sauce
  • Chorizo
  • Smoked paprika powder
  • Bay leaves
  • Cayene pepper (2), optional

Tip

Use a pressure cook as the pot where it will be cooked.


Steps

  1. Chop in big pieces (1 cm side) the potato, the carrot and the pepper. Chop the onion in 8 pieces.
  2. Put all the previous ingredients and the galic cloves at medium power over the stove with some olive oil. Cook for 5 minutes.
  3. Add the lentils and all the other ingredients, as well as some salt and pepper. Stab the chorizo and add it too. Put water until everything is covered.
  4. Cook for 🕰️ 30~45 minutes in pressure cook.
