Migas
One very traditional Spanish dish is "migas", cooked out of stale bread.
Ingredients
- Stale bread
- Garlic (3~6 cloves)
- Chorizo
- Ham in cubes (optional)
- Green peas (optional)
- Egg (optional)
- Paprika powder
- Olive oil
Steps
- Break the bread in small pieces that can easily be eaten.
- Put a decent amount of oil in a pan, then stir-fry in it the garlic (chopped in thik slices), the chorizo and the ham. Cook for
5~7 minutes. - Lower the heat to medium-low, then add the bread, the green peas and the paprika powder. Let it all cook for
10 minutes. - You can top the plate with a fried egg on top.
Tip
This dish is a great combination together with other "tapas", like "Pimientos de padron" or "Patatas bravas".
